Extracting Data

This guide outlines how to access, configure, and manage data extractions using the Orchestrator platform.

Accessing Data Extractions

You can navigate to the data extraction tool in two ways:

  • Navigation Menu: Select "Data Extractions" from the main menu.
  • Quick Actions: Click directly into one of your specific location groups from the quick actions menu.

To begin, click New in the top right corner, or select a previous extraction or location group (such as "Florida Golf Courses") to prepopulate the process.

Configuring a New Run

Once a run is initiated, the basic information field will prepopulate. You can update the description if desired and add additional location groups by selecting them.

1. Select Date Range

There are three methods for defining the timeframe. Note that Veraset data operates on a 4-day latency.

  • Calendar: Manually input an exact date range.
  • Relative: Choose a preset range, such as the last 7, 14, or 30 days, or the last 1, 3, or 6 months.
  • AI Input: Type a natural language phrase, such as "all weekends in August 2025," to automatically populate the specific dates.
2. Select Product and Output
  • Data Product: Choose between Movement, Visits, Home, or Work.
  • Output Type: Select the output format that matches your goal. (Refer to the "Data Products and Output Guide" for detailed specifications on product lines and output types).
3. Select Schema and Options

Choose between Basic or Full schema. You may also select optional data additions like Demographics or Hashed Email.

Scheduling and Notifications

  • Run or Save: You can execute the extraction immediately by clicking Run, or Save the workflow for later.
  • Scheduling: Workflows can be automated to run periodically, such as every day at a specific time.
  • Notifications: You can configure email alerts for one or more addresses to trigger upon the start, success, or failure of a run.

Managing Workflows

The home screen displays both scheduled workflows and past runs.

  • To Pause: Click the workflow once.
  • To Delete: Click the trash can icon.

Reviewing and Downloading Results

To view results, click into a completed run. The dashboard displays metrics such as total pings and unique devices over the selected timespan. If enabled, demographic information is also visible.

  • Download: Click the button in the top right and select the specific columns you need to export.
  • Details: You can view run details and the specific location of the output file.
